Our Experiences

Marisa Mills was born and raised in the suburb and rural areas in east Pennsylvania. Ever since she was a young girl, she has always had so much love for animals. She took in stray cats, fostered them and found new permanent homes for them. When she was a teenager, she was introduced to the concept of TNR (Trap, Neuter, Release) program and discovered how much TNR can really save the overpopulation of stray cats. Marisa’s aunt was a vet technician and her aunt was given abandoned reptiles from exotic pet stores. Her aunt taught Marisa how to care for reptiles and other exotic animals like scorpions and tarantulas! Now as an adult, Marisa loves to spend her free time volunteering at animal shelters, horse rescues and foster many pets. Marisa makes sure her foster pets were adopted into homes that provide them with high qualities of life. She has experiences working with cats and dogs that have aggressive behavior challenges and pets that have special medical attention (e.g. medicine, mobility issues, and senior dogs, etc). Marisa loves to take the dogs to parks for nature walks or hikes and even bikes!

China Walker was raised in the rural areas of Texas and grew up on a farm with many different farm animals. She loved taking care of all the farm animals, making sure they were fed, cleaned and received medical care if needed. She also had snakes, rabbits and birds as pets in the house. China became a young equestrian from an agriculture community program called 4-H, and she developed a positive experience and good sportsmanship from relationships she had with the horses. China has always been the “go to person” for her neighbors, friends and family when they needed someone to take care of their pets when they are out of town. She is a volunteer at animal shelters and is a part of the foster programs to help pets find their forever home. In high school, China envisioned that she wanted to become a veterinarian and took pre-requisite classes to pursue that dream. Even though life had different plans for her, she decided to start up her own pet care business!
